Vigilance
RailTel Vigilance department has been set up with an objective to maintain ethical standards in the organisation by improving transparency, systems and procedures. The Vigilance department consistently works towards developing an ecosystem for employees to work with devotion and integrity in a transparent and impartial manner ensuring better services to all the external stakeholders of the organisation. The role of vigilance is multifarious. It undertakes preventive vigilance, punitive vigilance and system improvement. The Vigilance Unit also arranges Vigilance Awareness programmes. The Vigilance Unit organizes Vigilance Awareness Week celebrated every year as per guidelines of CVC. Vigilance Bulletins are also published regularly providing information on vigilance awareness.
The Vigilance department is based out of the Corporate office and headed by a Group General Manager level officer (presently part-time) supported by 2 Manager level executives presently. The major functions of the department are:-
- Preventive Vigilance
- Punitive Vigilance
- System & Procedure improvements
- Co-ordination with CVC, Railway Board Vigilance and other agencies
- Vigilance clearance for employees
- Vigilance Awareness Programmes
- Vigilance Awareness Week
We accept complaints only against officers who are posted in the organisation which are under the CVO's jurisdiction.
