RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. invites sealed open tenders from the established and reliable contractors with proven experience for the work of
"System Design, Detailed Engineering of OFC based Digital Back Bone Communication system including supply, installation, testing and Commissioning of STM-16 / STM -4 SDH ADD/Drop Muxes and other associated equipment of the system and Network Management system" spanning about 12600 Route Kilometre (RKM) and connecting various cities all over the country:

Bank Draft in favour of RailTel Corporation of India
Limited, New Delhi. |
Only such tenderers will be qualified to bid who among other requirements (refer clause 18, chapter IV, Vol-I of Tender Documents) fulfill the following:
- The Tenderer should be the manufacturer of Digital Fibre Optic Communication Equipment for at least past three years and should have proven facilities of design, engineering and execution. Tenderer should have executed at least one Turnkey project of STM-16 Digital Optic Fibre Communication System and/ or Dense Wave Division Multiplexing(DWDM) including Network Management System in one backbone long haul ring / linear network covering 1250 km or two linear/ ring long haul back bone inter-city networks covering 625 km each outside the country of origin or in India or supplied al least 150 STM 16/DWDM equipment in the above network and it should be working satisfactorily and successfully for at least six months.

The model and version of the equipment being offered in the tender should be proven and should have been working satisfactorily in India or in at least two countries outside country of origin for at least six months.
- Due preference shall be given to PSUs of Government of India as per extant rules applicable on the day of opening of this tender.
